ABOUT BROW LAMINATION

Brow Lamination uses a mild perm solution to straighten and set your brows in a uniform direction creating a more defined arch and a fluffy, combed up brow shape.  Lamination can hide some gaps and give the illusion of a fuller, bolder brow especially when tinting is included! After this service your brows will be easier to style and I will show you how and provide you with neccesary aftercare supplies. Brow Lamination will last a full 2 months if you follow the recommended aftercare! (Tint will last up to one month and gradually fade.) 

I am professionally certified with Beautiful Brows and Lashes Brow Bomb. Their lamination solutions contain a protein composition based on liquid keratin and silicone which creates a protective film around the hair.  The process is finished with their unique moisturizing serum which enriched with Panthenol, Hyaluronic Acid, Marshmallow Extract, Aloe Vera, Hydrolized Silk, Arnica Montana and Apricot Extracts so you leave with nourished brows and a headstart on your aftercare!

Please come to your appointment with a clean, makeup free face. 

Please do not apply oils or lotions right before your appointment. They will make the process less effective.

For laminations avoid growth serums, BHA/AHA exfoliants, and Retinol products for at least 2 days prior to your treatment as such products can sensitize the skin, and may lead to irritation.  Avoid using henna based dye for 6 weeks before your appointment. Growth serums and recent use of henna dye can interact with the solution and cause irritaion and also make the process less effective.  

Lamination is basically a perm solution.  Most people tolerate this service just fine, but I do offer a free 24 hour patch test if you are concerned about allergies. If you'd like one, please text or call me at  (971) 384-0722 to schedule one prior to booking your appointment.  (If you are pregant or nursing please get doctor approval or patch test will be required. )

• IT IS CRUCIAL that you avoid getting your brows wet for AT LEAST 24 hours, 48 hours if possible

• You can use the provided styling gel immediately; it also acts as a moisturizer for your brows and skin. Do not put anything other than the styling gel on your brows for 48 hours.

• After 48 hours then begin using the provided castor oil every night to keep your brows healthy and full. 

• Avoid contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas,      steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours

• Avoid excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 48 hours

• Be gentle with your skin post treatment. Avoid  retinol, AHA, BHA or other chemical exfoliants, physical exfoliants, henna dye and any other strong or active product on the skin around your brows for 2-3 days after your service. 

• Wait 6-8 weeks to schedule any procedures such as microblading or chemical peels. 

THINGS TO KNOW:

•  Your brow hairs will seem finer and more pliable after lamination. When you wake up or after working out or showering, they will be all wonky. No worries, just comb them gently upward in the direction you want them to be and lock them in place with the provided styling gel or at night with castor oil. 
• Bonus: the more you brush your laminated brows into place the more the hair will become trained in that shape even as the lamination wears off. 
• Brow laminations can last up to 6 weeks with proper aftercare. Natural hair texture, daily habits and not following aftercare can all shorten that time frame. I guarantee my laminations up to two weeks. If you follow proper aftercare and your lami still isn’t retaining the combed up shape within a two week period please text me for a free touch up.

OTHER TIPS:

• If you have gaps in your hairs and wish to use makeup to fill them in with a pencil or powder just simply wait for the styling gel to dry and then fill in with your chosen makeup.
• It is not recommended to mix growth serums with freshly laminated brows. 
• Also note that Vitamin C serums can lighten the color of hair and tinted brows.

Brow Lamination is a chemical process.  It is important to read these contraindications before booking this service.  I cannot laminate your brows if:

• You are using or have used Accutane in the past three months.
• You are allergic to perm solution. 
• The skin near or around your brows is sunburned, irritated or you have areas with open skin or cuts.
• You have had chemical peel or microdermabrasion in the past 6 weeks.
• You have had recent eye or eyelid surgery.
• The skin near or around your brows has had laser resurfacing within the past year or a physician administered peel within the past two years.
• You have active eczema or psoriasis.
• You have pink eye.
• You have Alopecia.
• You have had recent Permanent Makeup such as microblading (must be fully healed for at least 6 weeks.)
•  You have cancer or are being treated with chemo or radiation therapy. 
• You have used brow growth serum in the past 2 days or henna dye in the past 4 weeks.
• You have had your brows laminated less than AT LEAST 8 weeks prior to booking again.
  

Please have a doctor clear you if you pregnant or nursing or if you are taking any of these prescription medications that thin the skin (such as Retin-A), blood thinners, or that cause you to be sun-sensitive.
